Confident that documentation issues are resolved, Bank of America goes forward with processing of growing backlog of foreclosures.
Ending an approximately two-month moretorium, Bank of America has announced that it will now resume processing of foreclosures. The bank suspended foreclosures nationwide to address concerns that the foreclosures were not properly documented. Confident that foreclosure documentation issues have been addressed, the bank intends to get back to work on a backlog of more than 16,000 foreclosures now in process. They will, however, be observing a holiday suspension of home sales and evictions between December 12, 2010 and January 7, 2011.Atlanta Church Faces Foreclosure

After weathering more than 107 years of history and an assault by a damaging tornado, an Atlanta church is struggling to avoid foreclosure on their property.
The Mt. Gilead Baptist Church first met in 1903 in a three room house on Davis Street, now Northside Drive in Atlanta, Georgia. CNN reporter Stephanie Elam tells their story in her report Donations down, churches face foreclosure.
